When it comes to digital cameras and camcorders, products from Japan have occupied most of the Korean market. However, since Samsung started releasing new good products, those who want them have increased. (Personally, I recommended Canon, Nikon, or Sony when somebody asked to recommend a digital camera or camcorder. However, recently, I think of Samsung, too. It’s not because it’s a Korean brand, but because of the advanced design and functions.)

Before introducing the new type camcorder HMX-U10, let’s imagine the image of a typical camcorder. It’s like Circular or rectangular body on a right hand with an LCD on a left hand, right?

The camcorder HMX-U10 from Samsung which is about to be released with the concept of ‘Shoot to Share in Full HD’ doesn’t look like other camcorders at all. That’s why I mentioned this is a new type.

Mobile phones? MP3 players? Recently, slim pocket HD camcorders have been getting more popular. They look different and weird, but allow users to carry them for all day long with a slim and cute design, great videos, and UCC sharing system. You don’t need to open a bag or things like that as you did with other camcorders. You can just take it out from your pocket and shoot. They are active and fast to shoot. There are some Point and Shoot HD camcorders in the world such as Flip from PB, Z series from Kodak, and Webbie from Sony. Especially, in the USA, these P&S HD camcorders are quite popular these days. It’s because its simplicity to shoot and share as a camcorder. Samsung also has started to produce a P&S camcorder with the HMX-U10 having 1/2.3” 10M sensor.
